Overview:

This course introduces participants to the rapidly evolving practice of co-managing projects with artificial intelligence in 2026. Rather than replacing human judgment, today’s AI-from generative AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot) to agentic AI systems capable of autonomous reasoning, planning, and multi-step execution-acts as a cognitive partner supporting forecasting, scheduling, risk identification, stakeholder communication, and continuous performance monitoring.

Participants will explore practical use cases with AI-embedded PM platforms (Asana, Monday.com, Microsoft Project Copilot), governance considerations including AI accountability frameworks, and real-world examples of how AI augments project management across the project lifecycle. The course also addresses the emerging interoperability standards (Model Context Protocol and Agent-to-Agent Protocol) enabling multi-agent collaboration across tools.

Course Objective:

  • Understand what it means to co-manage projects with AI-including the spectrum from generative AI assistants to fully agentic systems
  • Identify project management tasks best augmented by AI: scheduling, risk analysis, resource optimization, reporting, and stakeholder communication
  • Explore today’s leading AI tools for planning, scheduling, risk, and reporting-including ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and AI-embedded PM platforms
  • Recognize governance, ethics, accountability, and hallucination management considerations for AI-assisted project decisions
  • Apply a practical human-AI co-management framework for projects, including prompt engineering best practices and responsible AI adoption

Target Audience:

  • Project Managers
  • program Managers
  • PMO Leaders
  • Scrum Masters
  • Business Analysts
  • Product Managers and organizational leaders interested in using AI to enhance project performance.

Basic Knowledge:

General familiarity with project management concepts is helpful. No advanced technical or AI background is required.
