Overview:
Difficult times in the legal field can bring out intense emotions and mental health strengths and vulnerabilities in any and all individuals, teams, and organizational systems. Learning to acknowledge the stressors, not just “tough it out,” emotionally acknowledge the stressful reality, grieving feelings of loss and shame, and sharing with a “stress buddy” and/or counsellor is critical. This is the foundation for positive energy and productively grappling with new possibilities. Strengthen “Stress Resilience” through the Stress Doc’s Natural SPEED and the research based Four “C”s of Psychological Hardiness. Gain tools for determine if professional coaching or counselling would be beneficial. Finally, learn to thrive with the key steps to Creative Risk-Taking.
Course Objective:
This course aims to equip legal professionals with tools to recognize early “brain-body-behavior” signals of stress, navigate the challenges of seeking help during disruptive times, and manage personal and professional loss. Participants will develop resilience strategies through SPEED, psychological hardiness, and burnout prevention techniques. The course also helps attendees assess when to seek coaching or counseling and guides them in rebuilding passion and purpose through creative risk-taking and adaptive change.
